This involves me breaking out some pretty specific details about my personal life (like my location), but if we can get a lot of signatures, it could be very worth it.

I go to the University of Northern Iowa, which is a top school in the Midwest and across the country for educating future teachers. It has held this reputation for many years, and one of the reasons (from my experience) that it is so successful is that we have a special opportunity to have something called Price Laboratory School actually on campus. It is an open-enrollment school that teaches from early childhood all the way through twelfth grade. This school is used for many field experiences for college students to learn about teaching from a first hand experience and it’s close to home. Price Lab school is innovative and is always using the latest research to change their educating style to see what works and what doesn’t. It puts our school at a major advantage - and it’s being threatened to shut down. Without this school, people will have to go farther and farther away for field experiences which is difficult in rural Iowa, and these schools won’t be nearly as informative or work as good learning experiences because Price Lab school has been specifically designed to work with students working to become teachers. This is a very valuable resource to me and I would greatly appreciate it if you signed the petition. Thank you!

This means a LOT to me and could have a big impact on the future of the education of countless students. Please read and sign and REBLOG. Thank you.
